The first in-site activity of U-MOVE took part in February 2022 when the two pre-doctoral researchers, Daniel Casquero and Iago Aguiar, visited the A-6 and the A-2 corridors. The goal was to understand in real life the transportation system and land use of the ten municipalities which compose the Madrid Case Study.
Besides making the recognition of the urban environment, the researchers also visited points of interest for the future survey covered on Work Package 4. Places like train stations, central squares, shopping centers, supermarkets and others were visited to observe the passenger’s flow. Places with a considerable crowd or constant movement were considered as good spots for distributing the survey card.
